The founder of Wise Women Awards, London-based Pastor Majorie Esomowei, has said that the need to celebrate Christian women spurred her to establish it.
Nominations for the awards holding at Sheraton Hotel on June 8 closed last week, with Esomowei, a co-pastor of Triumphant Church International, saying that the stage is set for the event.
She says, “Wise Women Awards Nigeria presents an opportunity to celebrate and recognise the achievements of Christian women in Nigeria irrespective of their denominations.”
Meanwhile, agidigba singer, Tim Godfrey, has been confirmed to entertain at the event. She adds that the awards has its roots in the UK, where it held its 9th annual ceremony on March 9, 2013.
Marjorie notes, “Winner of each categories will be decided by a panel of judges comprising leading professionals like Mrs. Ibukun Awosika, CEO, The Chair Centre Ltd; and Revd Obii Pax-Harry, CEO, Nehemiah Apostolic Resource Centre, Abuja, among others.”
