Although he is at present observing his youth service in Ibadan, Oyo State capital, Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State-based emerging artiste, Abisola Oladapo, is thinking very big about music as far as 2014 is concerned.

Since he fell in love with the guitar at the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, where he read Computer Science, he has steadily been growing in the art, with the likes of Asa,  King Sunny Ade, Chief Ebenezer Obey and the late Bob Marley being his mentor.

Part of the progress he has made is that, last year, he attended a good number of events, where he performed.

“It was a great year for me,” he says. “My fingers were glued to the guitar as 2013 was a busy year,” he says. While he has recorded some songs, he plans to shoot the video of his song, Jericho, produced by D’Tunes this year. He also hopes that he can get signed onto a label.

Abisola adds on his career, “ For me, inspiration comes from God. But I also get inspired by personal experiences and what I see around me and anytime I wake and  see the shining of a new day I get inspired to do new things. The soulful sound of the guitar would always want to bring out some things I never thought I could sing. The guitar woke up the music potential which was hidden in me. “
